RSDSA Will Sponsor the 2nd International Update on RSD/CRPS

RSDSA will conduct the 2nd International Update on RSD/CRPS at the Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island on September 11-12, 2004. The conference will have separate tracks for both medical professionals and patients and family members. This will be the first RSDSA-sponsored conference on the west coast. We expect to register more than 200 physicians and other medical professionals for the on-site CME-accredited conference.

Topics will include:

• RSD/CRPS- What's in a name? Taxonomy and its revisions
• CRPS: Clinical Presentations and Diagnostic workup (will also address pediatric CRPS)
• What we know and don't know about the pathophysiology of CRPS
• Is there a visceral counterpoint for CRPS?
• A Treatment Algorithm-Global strategy aimed at functional rehabilitation
• Novel Pharmacological therapies on the horizon and role of interventional therapies
• Movement disorders in CRPS and their treatment
• Co-morbidity and its treatment in CRPS.
